Vietnam NGO Awards 2014 was launched by the Resource Alliance in partnership with the Research Center for Management and Sustainable Development (MSD) and supported by the Rockefeller Foundation and Irish Aid. The Vietnam NGO Awards aim to advance the country’s non-profit sector by promoting financial and organizational sustainability and strengthening community support of civil society. The selection process evaluates organizations on criteria including evidence of efficient management of resources, good governance practices, transparency and accountability, and effective communication; the delivery of quality services to its beneficiaries while demonstrating efficient management of resources, transparency, and accountability; and the mobilization of diversified resources from the local community while exhibiting its capabilities for financial sustainability.
On 20th June 2014, the Vietnam NGO Awards Ceremony was held in Hanoi after 8 months of deployment to honor the winning organizations and to display 12 models of the best activities for community and sustainable development effectiveness. MACDI was honored to receive the Vietnam NGO Award 2014 for best practice on transparency, accountability, and resource mobilization (Category: Medium) and received a cash prize of 100,000,000 VND.
Vietnam NGO Awards 2014 is a well-deserved recognition of MACDI’s efforts to contribute to microfinance and community development for the last 7 years. The award is also a big motivation for MACDI to strive for best practice on Transparency, Accountability, and Resource mobilization on its way to contribute to the sustainable development of society.
